One can imagine that Samsung has its hands quite full these days given that in less than a week the company is going to take the stage in Barcelona to unveil the Galaxy S6 and its Edge variant. Despite all of the excitement that surrounds the upcoming flagship Samsung took some time out yesterday to remind you that the Galaxy S5 is still “irresistible” and happens to be “water resistant.” Samsung reiterated these attributes of its 2014 flagship in a short advertisement which was aired on ABC last night during the 87th Academy Awards ceremony.

We all know quite well that the Galaxy S5 is IP67-certified, which means it both dust and water resistant, and happens to be irresistible to its fans. This advertisement is certainly meant to move as many Galaxy S5 units as possible before the successor arrives. The Galaxy S6 is expected to be released soon after its announcement next month so Samsung doesn't have a lot of time to move remaining inventory of its 2014 flagship. This is just one of the ways it can get people to pay for the Galaxy S5 at this point in time.
