Earlier this week Samsung unpacked the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge. Both smartphones are receiving considerable praise for their design and build quality, apart from all of the improvements that Samsung has made to the camera and the software experience. The company already expects the Galaxy S6 to outperform its predecessors. President of the IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, Shin Jong-kyu, says pre-orders are already “pouring in” for the company's new flagship.
Speaking at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Shin mentioned that “our clients' response to the product is also very good,” adding that it will be sold in more countries than before. Samsung will start shipping the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge in 20 countries starting April 10th with more countries being added to the list soon after the initial release. Shin also touched on the subject of Samsung not unveiling a new wearable device at MWC 2015 even though it was rumored to do so. “We are preparing for a new superior wearable device, so please expect to see it,” he says.
