On April 10 the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge finally went on sale in 20 countries across the globe. Samsung conducted launch events in various markets to celebrate the occassion but Samsung Turkey did something completely out of the box. It had an artificial island constructed exclusively for the Galaxy S6 launch event that took place last Friday.
The artificial island was called Gelecek Benim and Samsung says it was constructed to make guests feel “as if they have traveled to another galaxy.” Gelecek Benim was set on the picturesque Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul and connected to the floating beach club of Suada via a “futuristic bridge.” After the new handsets were unveiled at the event the festivities continued with a light show, a series of DJ performances and a spectacular water and laser show. If you weren't able to attend the event in Istanbul, don't worry, video highlights from the “star-studded” launch party will soon be uploaded on YouTube.
