The Tizen powered Samsung Z1 has only been released in a few markets but it appears to be performing well there. While the company itself has not yet talked about a successor to the Z1, there's a new rumor out today which claims that the Samsung Z2 is already in the pipeline. Purported specifications of the device have also been revealed.
According to the rumor the Z2 is going to have a 540×960 pixel resolution TFT-LCD display with a 32-bit quad-core processor under the hood, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It may even have the Tizen 3.0 user interface that is said to have many similarities with the Tizen UI found on Samsung's SUHD TV. A 2,000mAh battery is expected to be onboard as well, no information about the cameras and connectivity features has been revealed. If the rumor is to be believed the Samsung Z2 will be released at some point in the second half of 2015.
