Samsung has already started live trials for Samsung Pay in South Korea and it appears that the company is putting finishing touches to its new payments service before it's launched in its home country and the United States. A new report points out that Samsung is going to start another round of beta tests for Samsung Pay soon with card partners that include Samsung Card and BC Card, as previous tests these will also take place in Samsung's home base.
The latest round of tests will commence with Samsung Card on Friday and with BC Card, which happens to be the largest provider of credit and debit cards in the country, on August 20. One beta test participant quoted in the report seemed pretty happy with Samsung Pay saying “Samsung seems to have finally made it. The mobile payment system will bring a whole new experience to users.” Initially Samsung Pay will only be available to those who own the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 edge provided that they're not rooted but upcoming devices will certainly have support for the payments service. The company might announce a formal launch date for Samsung Pay at its event next month.
