Samsung Pay comes to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge with Sprint’s new software update

Sprint has released a new software update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge today which brings support for Samsung Pay, the payment service won't be going live in the United States before next month but when it does arrive folks who own these handsets on Sprint will be able to use it right away. The software update is necessary to get support for Samsung Pay while newer devices like the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+ have support for the service straight out of the box.

The carrier has released version G920PVPU2BOH1 for the Galaxy S6 and version G925PVPU2BOH1 for the Galaxy S6 edge. Aside from Samsung Pay the updates add live broadcasting via YouTube feature which was introduced with the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+. Also included in this update are UI tweaks, bug fixes and support for High Quality Audio with Samsung headsets.
