Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge last month and it didn't take long for pre-orders to open. In some markets, customers who pre-ordered their units have already received them, even though March 11 was selected as the official release date for the new flagship smartphones. It is March 11 today, which means that Samsung has now started selling the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge worldwide.
The company's carrier and retail partners will now start selling the handset through retail stores across 60 countries. Over the coming weeks, the new flagships will be released in more countries. One incentive that retail customers will miss out on is the free Gear VR headset that Samsung provided to everyone who placed a pre-order. Check with your local retailer or carrier to see if the new handsets are available in your market.
