It was reported three weeks ago that T-Mobile could soon release the much-awaited Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge, and today it has. Magenta is now rolling out said update for the aforementioned devices bumping the OS version up to 6.0.1. The update is rolling out over-the-air and it should go live for all users in the very near future.
T-Mobile had started testing the Marshmallow update for these devices late last month which gave us a hint that it won't be too long before the carrier releases it. The update it's sending out today weighs in at around 1.2GB which is the norm for major Android OS updates, version G920TUVU3EPD1, and G925TUVU3EPD1 is now being rolled out for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge respectively. T-Mobile users who own last year's Samsung flagships should expect to get an update notification on their handset soon if they haven't already received it.
