We reported recently that Samsung is working on a new handset called the Galaxy C5. Several pictures of this smartphone have been leaked over the past few days hinting at a possible launch in the near future. The device has now made the customary stop at the Bluetooth SIG which is usually a big hint that the release is just around the corner.

The Galaxy C5 (SM-C5000) has stopped by Bluetooth SIG for the relevant certification and it's an indication that Samsung will launch this handset in the near future. The Galaxy C5 features a 5.2-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with 4GB RAM and it will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow straight out of the box. The leaked pictures confirm what we previously reported about the Galaxy C5 having a thin metal body. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy C5 in China first and it's unclear if the handset will be released in other markets.
