Over the past few weeks, the Internet has amassed an abundance of reports regarding the Note 5’s Bluetooth connectivity issues. Some users have found that their devices won't connect to any accessories or in-car systems, while others have been complaining that they randomly disconnect in the middle of usage.
If you’re one of the many experiencing these difficulties, you may want to listen up, as today we’re going to be showing you a rather nifty short-term fix to get your Note 5 paired and working with a Bluetooth device. It’s important to note, though, that this patch will only work until the handset is turned off.
Here’s what you have to do:
- Reboot your Note 5 by holding the Power button and selecting Restart from the on-screen menu.
- Once it has turned back on, head into Settings and tap on the Applications sub-heading.
- Now you’re going to want to scroll down and select the Application Manager.
- Locate Bluetooth from the list and clear its cache/app data.
- Reboot the handset using the same procedure stated in Step 1.
Voilà! You should now be able to pair your Note 5 with a Bluetooth accessory. If this patch didn’t work for you, it’s likely that your unit has a hardware problem. If that’s the case, your best course of action is to seek a replacement/repair from Samsung, your carrier, or the retailer you bought it from.
