Earlier this month, an unidentified Samsung-branded tablet carrying the model number SM-T230NW appeared in a listing on India's import/export database, Zauba. At the time, it was unclear what this mystery device was or if it would ever see the light of day. However, an identical slate has today been granted radio certification in South Korea bearing the branding Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 (2016), which means that we're looking at a successor to the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 that was originally introduced back in May 2014.

Thankfully when the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 (2016) was shipped to India for testing, a specification sheet was stored in the online database, so we have a rough idea of what we're looking at with regards to internals. The tablet is expected to pack a 7-inch Full HD display, a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16/32GB of expandable internal storage and a 4,000mAh battery. It's also believed that the device will ship running Android 6.0.1 skinned with Samsung's TouchWiz user interface.

Unfortunately, that's all the details we have on the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 (2016) for now, but be sure to check back regularly for more information as it's perfectly possible that we could see an official announcement sometime over the course of the next couple of weeks as radio certification is one of the last tests a device needs to pass before it can be released in Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
