Huawei announced that it had filed lawsuits against Samsung in the United States and China because the company used its 4G communications technology, user interface software and operating systems without due licensing. Samsung responded by saying that it was considering a number of countermeasures which included filing a lawsuit against Huawei. That was not enough to deter Huawei because the company filed another lawsuit against Samsung just two weeks go. Samsung is finally responded in kind by filing its own lawsuit against Huawei.

Samsung has sued Huawei through multiple courts in China for patent infringements. A spokeswoman for Samsung has said that the company has sued Huawei for allegedly infringing on six of its patents but did not describe the types of patents. “Despite our best efforts to resolve this matter amicably, it has regrettably become necessary to take legal action in order to defend our intellectual property,” the company said in a statement provided to Reuters. Huawei says that it's yet to receive a “formal complaint” but vows to defend itself against Samsung's claims. It's certainly going to take a while before this matter reaches conclusion.
