Samsung has announced a new variant of the Galaxy J2 that will launch exclusively in the Philippines later this month. The handset, which has been named the Galaxy J2 DTV, carries the model number SM-J200BT and supports a wide range of different connectivity options, including FDD-LTE, W-CDMA, and GSM.
Just like the 2015 variant of the Galaxy J2, the Galaxy J2 DTV packs a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, a 1.3GHz Exynos 3457 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 2,000mAh battery. It will ship running Android 5.1.1 skinned with Samsung's TouchWiz UI.
The device will carry a price tag of 6,990 Philippine Pesos ($150) when it hits the shelves in bricks-and-mortar stores in the region sometime over the course of the next couple of weeks.
