Samsung has introduced the Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition today in the US. It's a beefed-up variant of the Galaxy TabPro S and comes with increased memory and storage. Also, as the name suggests, the new 2-in-1 device is offered in Gold color.
The Windows 10-powered Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition (SM-W700NZDBXAR) features a 12-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels, 2.2GHz Intel Core M3 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and 5-megapixel cameras on the front as well as on the back. The rear-facing camera also features autofocus and 1080p video recording.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (with MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, USB 3.1 Type-A port, and a USB 3.1 port with Type-C connector. Samsung claims that the 5200 mAh battery inside the TabPro S Gold Edition can be charged within 2.5 hours, thanks to fast charging technology. The device is claimed to last 10.5 hours on a single charge.
The Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition comes bundled with a full-sized detachable keyboard cover. The keyboard accessory also comes integrated with a touchpad and a flexible two-stage hinge. Interested customers can also purchase a TabPro Pen stylus separately for enhanced productivity.
The device is priced at $999.99 and is available for purchase from Samsung's online shop as well as Best Buy.
