We exclusively confirmed a few months ago that Samsung is working on Pro versions of the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, and while both handsets have reared their heads in leaks since then, there isn't a lot of information available about either phone. That's changing today, at least when it comes to the Galaxy C7 Pro – SlashLeaks has purportedly gotten hold of the device's images and specs through Chinese regulation authority TENAA's website.
Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy C7 Pro looks like the Galaxy C9 Pro, and the C5 Pro should have the same design as well. The specs are said to include a 5.7-inch Full HD display, an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz (the Snapdragon 625), 4GB of RAM (not 6GB, unlike the C9 Pro), 32/64GB of internal storage, and a 3,300 mAh battery. There is a 16-megapixel camera on the front and back, another similarity with the C9 Pro. The C7 Pro will run Android 6.0.1 out of the box; the handset will be 7.0 mm thick and weigh 170 grams, which is certainly on the higher end of the spectrum.
There is no official word on when the Pro iterations of Samsung's metallic mid-range smartphones will be launched. It's just mid-December right now so there is a chance they could be unveiled before the month is over, unless Samsung is saving this month for the launch of the Galaxy A (2017) lineup.
