There's no denying the fact that the Galaxy S7 edge is a fantastic smartphone. The handset has already received several awards and Samsung will now have to make some room on the shelf because its 2016 flagship has won another. The GSMA has recognized the Galaxy S7 edge as the “Best Smartphone” in the Best Mobile Handsets and Devices category at the annual Global Mobile Awards at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. The Galaxy S7 edge has received this award for its refined design, great camera and outstanding performance.

“We are honored to be recognized for our craftsmanship in design and innovation with the Galaxy S7 edge,” said Junho Park, Vice President of Global Product Strategy, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, adding that this award is a testament to Samsung's constant pursuit of excellence as it continues to exceed consumers' expectations.

This award certainly caps off a great year for the Galaxy S7 edge as it's set to bow out in the coming weeks because on March 29, Samsung is going to finally unveil the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus. The company will certainly be hoping that it does just as well if not better than the Galaxy S7 did.
