The cost of the anodization process (and, of course, the material) bumps up the price of the device — but probably not by as much as you'd of thought.
A 24K gold Gear S3 classic will set you back $599. However, you'll need to pay an additional $4.49 for shipping, so you're looking at a total of $603.49. That's not a bad price to pay, especially when you consider a 24K gold Galaxy S7 edge carried an eye-watering price tag of $1,903 from Karalux when it first launched.
