India is among the few markets where Samsung delayed availability of its new flagships, the Galaxy S8 and S8+, by a week. Sales of the device are set to commence on May 5 in the country, and Samsung has started shipping pre-ordered devices out to consumers today. Some consumers might get their order today itself (I did), if they were among the first few to order the phone from Samsung's official website.
Some retailers are also handing out devices today; if you haven't gotten yours by the end of the day, you can expect to see your brand new Galaxy S8 or S8+ arrive before the week is over. If you haven't ordered the phone yet, it would be a good idea to do so before May 5, as that is when Samsung's pre-order offer of a free wireless charger will end. The offer is available from various retailers, including Flipkart and Croma, so you have a few options.
If you haven't made up your mind about the Galaxy S8 or S8+ yet, make sure to read our review of the handsets. We've also embedded our video review below.
