Samsung DeX was one of the new features that debuted with the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ earlier this year. The company tied up with various brands to make DeX-optimized third-party apps. Now, Samsung has published its first video advertisement for the DeX, showcasing various possibilities of the docking station.

The video shows how a journalist makes her Galaxy S8 the primary computing and content creation device. It displays how she captures images using her phone, then attaches the device to the DeX for using a large screen to edit images, create a document, and email it before the article shows up in the next day's newspaper.

The DeX currently works only with the Galaxy S8 and S8+, but it should also be compatible with the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. Apart from the apps that already support DeX, Samsung's partner firms are releasing more apps with each passing month. Read our in-depth review of the DeX docking station if you are interested in buying it.
