Samsung today announced the launch of three new stylish monitors with each serving a distinctive purpose. The Space Monitor is modern and minimalist while the CRG9 is a massive curved gaming monitor. The 4K UHD curved UR69C offers incredible detail to content creators.
We have seen large gaming monitors from Samsung before so it's just more of the same. However, the Space Monitor really does take the cake here. It has a minimal and flexible design that will help users focus on what's on the screen instead of what's around it.
Samsung shakes up its monitor lineup for 2019
The monitor has an integrated space-saving solution in the form of a fully-integrated arm that can clamp to the desk and free up space. It can simply be pushed back flat against the wall when not in use. It offers a discreet cable management system through the arm to maintain the minimal look and feel. Samsung Space Monitor will be available in 27-inch and 32-inch models with QHD and 4K UHD resolution respectively.
The CRG9 is a 49-inch high-resolution super ultra-wide gaming monitor with 32:9 aspect ratio with a 120GHz refresh rate and 4ms response time. There's also support for AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 HDR for reducing screen tearing, stutter, and input latency. It boasts 5120×1440 “dual QHD resolution,” HDR10 and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Additional features include Picture-by-Picture which allows for two video sources to be viewed on the same screen.
Samsung describes the UR59C as the world's first 32-inch curved 4K UHD monitor for content creators. It has a 2,500:1 contrast ratio and full 3840×2160 4K UHD resolution. It has a slim design as well with a depth of 6.7mm and a fabric-textured rear casing.
The company hasn't confirmed the pricing for these new monitors. It will be showcasing them at its booth next week during the Consumer Electronics Show 2019 in Las Vegas.
