The Galaxy A90 may not be the only new premium mid-range device that Samsung may launch in the coming months. It appears that the company may be working on the Galaxy A60 as well. It would presumably slot between the recently announced Galaxy A50 and the as yet unannounced Galaxy A70.
This Galaxy A60 specs leak shows that the device may have a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. Samsung has adopted this waterdrop style notch for the new Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A50's display is slightly smaller at 6.4-inch. Like the Galaxy A50, it's also said to have an in-display fingerprint sensor. It would most likely be an optical sensor.
Galaxy A60 specs include larger display and bigger battery
It could also feature a triple-camera system at the back. That wouldn't really be unique as the Galaxy A50 has one as well. However, this leak suggests that the Galaxy A60 will get a 32-megapixel primary sensor with a 5-megapixel depth and 8-megapixel wide-angle camera. The Galaxy A50 has similar depth and ultrawide cameras but the primary sensor is 25-megapixel. There may also be a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
Other improvements include a 4,500mAh battery compared to the Galaxy A50's 4,000mAh. Samsung may offer the Galaxy A60 in 6/8GB RAM + 128GB storage configurations. The “SM6150” chipset refers to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675. Samsung may use the same “3D Glasstic” finish for the Galaxy A60 like the other handsets in this new series.
It may not be long before Samsung officially launches the Galaxy A60. Whether or not it also makes its debut in India remains to be seen. The Galaxy A50 starts at INR 19,990 (~$280) in India so one can expect the Galaxy A60 to cost a bit more than that.
