Verizon will be one of the carriers selling the Galaxy A50 in the US, according to a tweet by leakster evleaks. Samsung's 2019 lineup of Galaxy A smartphones have done pretty well in the Indian market, thanks to a mix of interesting features and attractive pricing, and it was recently revealed that some of the new A series phones may be headed to North America. And it looks like at least the Galaxy A50 will find a home at the US' largest wireless provider.
At this time, it's not known exactly when Samsung plans to bring the Galaxy A50 and other new Galaxy A phones stateside or how they will be priced. It also remains to be seen if other carriers will sell the Galaxy A50 or whether it will be a Verizon-exclusive. The Galaxy A50 may be a solid mid-range smartphone, but it's not special enough for Samsung to fish around for exclusivity, so we're guessing it will be available on most of the major carriers.
The Galaxy A50 will be accompanied by the Galaxy A20 in the US; both handsets are also expected to be sold in Canada. The Galaxy A70, meanwhile, has been certified for a Canadian launch, although Samsung may want to bring it to the US as well as the A70 has a lot going for it.
