Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A80 in Bangkok last month. It brought Kpop super group Black Pink to not only highlight some features of the handset but also perform a couple of their songs at the launch event. As you can probably imagine, the room went wild when they performed.
Samsung's marketing push for the new Galaxy A80 continues with Black Pink. It has put up a video of an unseen Black Pink dance performance to highlight the camera features of the new device.
Black Pink dance video highlights the Galaxy A80 camera
The Galaxy A80 is Samsung's first smartphone with a sliding and rotating camera mechanism. The 48-megapixel primary and 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera slides up and rotates on command so there's no need for separate front and back cameras. This also allows for a no-notch and no-hole 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution “New Infinity Display.”
As we mentioned in our Galaxy A80 hands-on, it's actually a very beautiful device with the camera module only adding to its charm. It also provides decent performance with the Snapdragon 730 chipset and 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy A80 gets a 3,700mAh battery with 25W super fast charger but it ditches the headphone jack and the microSD card slot.
The camera is obviously the star of the show here. The rotating mechanism means that your selfies will be of the same quality as the photos taken from the primary camera on a conventional device. At 48-megapixel, it also boasts the highest megapixel count of any Samsung device.
Black Pink takes full advantage of the camera in this ad, showing off their new dance moves on Instagram Live which quickly go viral across the globe. Given the sheer number of fans that this Kpop group has, whatever they perform is bound to go viral without question. You can check out their new dance moves in the video below.
