Samsung launched the T7 Shield portable SSD eight months ago, and back then, the company made the SSD available in 1TB and 2TB storage capacities. Now, the South Korean firm has launched the 4TB version of the T7 Shield SSD in Germany.
The T7 Shield is launching in Germany and will be available in three storage capacities: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. The 1TB version is priced at EUR 134.90, while the 2TB variant is priced at EUR 219.90. The 4TB version of the T7 Shield is priced at EUR 429.90. The 1TB and 2TB versions are already available for purchase, and the 4TB version will go on sale on January 17, 2023.
Samsung's T7 Shield is a credit card-sized portable SSD with a rugged design. It is IP65-certified for dust and water resistance. It is also resistant to drops at up to 3 meters. It is a PCIe NVMe SSD and features a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, supporting read and write speeds of up to 1,050Mbps and 1,000Mbps, respectively.
It lacks a fingerprint reader that you can find on the T7, but it still features password-based protection for data. It supports Android, macOS, and Windows operating systems. It is available in Beige, Black, and Blue colors.
