Among the many Galaxy Z Fold 6 models that are in development in Samsung's labs right now, the most exciting one is undoubtedly the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.
Samsung's Ultra-branded smartphones are designed to be the best and most high-end, and with the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 expected to bring minor incremental upgrades, all eyes will be on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra isn't expected to get a global release, but it seems the phone will not be restricted to just Samsung's home country as previously believed.
Rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim could just be the Ultra model for China
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra could also launch in China, according to the folks over at Android Headlines. Interestingly, it seems the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, which was rumored to launch in Q4 this year with a slimmer body, bigger displays, and larger battery, is nothing but the Chinese variant of the Fold 6 Ultra.
If true, this would clear some of the confusion in recent weeks over how many models Samsung is actually working on. It might just be the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, with the latter being limited to Korea and China so Samsung can gauge interest levels before bringing the Ultra model to more consumers worldwide.
In China, the Z Fold 6 Ultra may be sold as the Samsung W25 and come with unique visual touches, such as decorative engraving on the hinge, similar to previous Samsung W smartphones. China may also get the Galaxy Z Flip 6 as the W25 Flip, though that's just speculation based on the fact that Samsung is also rumored to be working on a Galaxy Z Flip 6 Slim.
Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of information about what the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra will offer to consumers versus the Z Fold 6. That is probably because the Ultra model isn't launching alongside the standard model, though we can expect more details to surface once the latter goes official at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event next month.
