For the past few years, Samsung has been unveiling its new Galaxy Note flagships at an Unpacked event in August. That's what would have happened in 2020 as well had the world not found itself grappling with a pandemic. In just a few months, the world has been turned upside down and our way of life as we knew it completely changed.
A full-fledged event is out of the question for Samsung as COVID19 restrictions are still in place across the globe and traveling in these uncertain times is difficult as well. So Samsung is going to conduct an online launch for the Galaxy Note 20, and it may not be the only device that it launches that day.
Four new devices will be unveiled at Samsung's August 5 event
We have heard multiple reports over the past few weeks that the company's next Unpacked event is going to be an entirely virtual affair. It would be streamed on Samsung's website and social media channels.
According to a new report, it's going to be a packed event. Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy Note 20 on August 5 in addition to the Galaxy Fold 2. The Galaxy Watch 3 will also be announced then as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
The report makes no mention of the new flagship tablet that's also in the pipeline. So perhaps the Galaxy Tab S7 may be unveiled soon before or after the Unpacked event on August 5. Samsung still hasn't confirmed the date for its online event, but keeping the global condition in mind, it's highly unlikely that it would be able to conduct an in-person launch event for these devices.
