The Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Z Flip took their little turns on the catwalk as part of the latest edition of Samsung EGO, a biannual fashion show that the Korean giant has been supporting as a technology partner since 2013. The newest happening took place last week within the broader Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM), as is tradition. It started by shining a spotlight on this year's winner of the Samsung EGO Innovation Project, Spanish architect and fashion designer, Paula Alegría.

Her showcase, titled “Architecture of the living and the non-living,” was a curious one, not least of all for its incorporation of several 2020 Galaxy flagships. And not just into the broader event coverage, but the actual designer clothing worn by professional models. You know, the people paid to look confident while walking in a relatively straight line across that runway thingy?

Anyway, here are some of the highlights from that opening act, see if you can spot every Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Z Flip that appears:

Even in all their telephotographic glory, these stills arguably don't do the whole thing justice; keep scrolling if you want to see how Alegría's attention-grabbing designer clothing look in motion.

Samsung is becoming quite invested in the world of fashion

While the most recent iteration of Samsung EGO marks the Galaxy Note 20's debut on the catwalk, this is actually the second occasion on which the Galaxy Z Flip made fashion industry news. It originally did so with a surprise appearance at the New York Fashion Week earlier this year, immediately after Samsung's Unpacked event in February. That particular cameo went to the Thom Browne Edition of Samsung's second-ever foldable. Meanwhile, the one that made a foray into Spanish fashion the other day appears to have been either the regular model or the newly released Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

Samsung's smartphone marketing stunts in the world of fashion go way back. At this point, the company has been indulging such voguish tendencies for the better part of the last decade. Its latest such move comes in the form of yet another Thom Brown collaboration centered on what happens to be its most expensive Android device to date. Of course, we're talking about the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and its eye-watering price tag.
