Samsung is preparing to launch two more entry-level Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A22 and the Galaxy A22 5G. Their renders were leaked last month, and so did some other specifications. Today, we've got our hands on the complete specifications and press renders of the Galaxy A22 5G, leaving little to the imagination ahead of the launch.
It is being rumored that the Galaxy A22 5G could be priced at €250 or lower, and it could be the company's cheapest 5G smartphone this year.
Galaxy A22 5G specifications
The Galaxy A22 5G features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD Infinity-V display with Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. It runs Android 11 out of the box with One UI 3.1. The smartphone is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor (MT6833V) clocked at 2.2GHz, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot (compatible with up to 1TB cards).
At the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera hidden inside the V-shaped screen notch. At the rear, it has a triple-camera setup arranged in a square format. The rear-facing camera has a 48MP (F1.8) wide-angle camera, a 5MP (F2.2) ultrawide camera, and a 2MP (F2.4) depth sensor. The Galaxy A22 5G can record 4K videos using its primary 48MP camera sensor.
Connectivity features include 5G, 4G, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features of the Galaxy A22 5G include Dolby Atmos audio, Samsung Pay, and a 5,000mAh battery that's compatible with up to 15W fast charging. It will be available in at least four colors: black, light green, purple, and white. The phone's body is 9mm thin, and it weighs 203g.
