Samsung releases the June 2021 security update to Galaxy S20 FE 5G

Samsung is probably the only Android OEM that has released the latest security update to more than a dozen smartphones. The company started rolling out the June 2021 security patch in the last week of May, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G was the first device to receive it. Now, Samsung has released it for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G.

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G (SM-G7810) has is now getting a new software update with firmware version G7810ZCS2CUE2 in China and Hong Kong. It includes the June 2021 security patch, which fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. We don't have the official changelog for this update yet, but it could also include other bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy S20 FE 5G user in the countries mentioned above, you might have received a notification for the latest software update. If you haven't received the update yet, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the entire firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The update could reach the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in more markets over the next few days. The smartphone was initially launched in October 2020 with Android 10 onboard. It received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in January 2021. A few months ago, it also received the One UI 3.1 update.
