Last week, Samsung released the November 2021 security update to the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S20 FE. Today, the company has started rolling out the update to the Exynos 990 variant of the smartphone. The new security patch has not been released to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G yet.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780F) comes with firmware version G780FXXS7CUI5. The new update is currently available in various Asian and European markets, including Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Caucasus countries, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Nordic countries, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Switzerland, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, the UK, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
The new software includes the November 2021 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. While we don't have the changelog for the update, it might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy S20 FE user in any of the markets mentioned above, you can check for the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
