Samsung has updated the Bixby app on Galaxy smartphones and tablets, bringing support for child accounts. The new update has also fixed certain bugs and improved the stability of the Bixby voice assistant. The company also updated the Bixby Wakeup function to enhance its reliability.

The latest version of the Bixby app, featuring version 3.3.03.2, was released yesterday. It has a download size of 55.67MB and is available through the Galaxy Store. It now allows Bixby to be used by children after their accounts are created through a supervising parent account in South Korea and the US. Samsung says that child account support will be added in more countries gradually.

Samsung has also released version 2.2.01.100 of the Bixby Wakeup app. It allows the phone to wake up after you've spoken the Bixby trigger words like “Hi, Bixby.” Since there is no changelog for this app on the Galaxy Store, it is most probably a bug-fixing and stability-improving update. You can grab both updates from the Galaxy Store on your Samsung phone or tablet.

The South Korean firm has been improving Bixby continuously. Recently, it made on-device AI processing possible for certain frequently-used functions, which means those voice commands work even when the phone isn't connected to the internet. The company also added support for more languages and launched Bixby Text Call.
