Samsung started rolling out the April 2023 security update with the Galaxy S23 series. After releasing in South Korea last week, the update made it to Galaxy S23 units in Europe and other countries. Now, the Galaxy S21 has started getting the new security update, and surprisingly, the update was released first in the US.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with firmware version G99xU1UEU6EWCA in the US. This update is applicable to unlocked units of the Galaxy S21 series in the US. The carrier-locked units of the phones in the US as well as other units worldwide, might get the update within the next few days.
The April 2023 security patch that is included in this update fixes over 60 security flaws found in Samsung smartphones. The update might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. The update is currently
If you are a Galaxy S21 series user in the US with an unlocked mode, you can download the new update right away by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
