Two weeks ago, Samsung released the April 2023 security update to the Galaxy A52 (SM-A525M) in some countries. Now, the company is expanding the availability of the update to more countries, including those in Asia and Europe.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A52 (SM-A525F) bumps up the phone's firmware version to A525FXXS5DWD1. The update is available in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The update could be released in more countries over the next few days.
Galaxy A52 April 2023 security update: What's new?
The April 2023 security patch that's included in the new software version brings more than 60 security fixes. These bug fixes include the ones for the flaws found in Exynos processors and modems. The update might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you have a Galaxy A52 and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download and install the new software update right away. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 two years ago with Android 11 onboard. The device received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It will get at least one more Android OS update sometime later this year.
