Samsung has been releasing the May 2023 security update to several mid-range and high-end smartphones at a swift pace. The latest mid-range Galaxy phone to get the new security update is the Galaxy A23 5G, and the update is now available in several European countries. More regions could get the new update soon.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A23 5G comes with firmware version A236BXXS3CWD4 in Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and the UK. More European countries could also be getting the update as we speak. This new software brings the May 2023 security patch that fixes over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
How to install May 2023 security update on Galaxy A23 5G?
If you have a Galaxy A23 5G and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update right away. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware version from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A23 5G in mid-2022 with Android 12 onboard. The smartphone received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in late 2022 and the One UI 5.1 update in March 2023.
