The standard Galaxy Tab S7 series received the May 2023 update last week. Now, the Fan Edition variant is following the rest of the series in a couple of markets.
Samsung is now rolling out the May 2023 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE in Brazil (SM-T735) and Europe (SM-T733). As of now, the update doesn't seem to be available for the SM-T736B 5G variant.
In Europe, the update carries firmware version T733XXS3CWD1, whereas Galaxy Tab S7 FE users in Brazil can identify the update by firmware version T735XXU3CWE1.
Oddly enough, these firmware versions suggest that the update for Europe consists only of the May 2023 security patch, while the update for Brazil should include additional features besides improved security. Which features could the update include is unclear. But perhaps the Galaxy Tab S7 FE now benefits from the amazing Image Clipper tool.
The May 2023 security patch itself fixes flaws in the bootloader, Exynos modems, and more. Overall, it contains patches for over 70 security flaws found in Samsung phones and tablets.
Galaxy Tab S7 FE users should be able to download the May 2023 update where available by opening the Settings app on the tablet, accessing “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.” Users who prefer manual updates over a Windows PC can download the official firmware files from our website.
