Samsung has launched the Galaxy A24 in South Korea. The smartphone was first unveiled last month and was then launched in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. It is now available in South Korea, and it can be purchased starting tomorrow.

The Galaxy A24 (LTE) is priced at KRW 396,000 (around $296) in South Korea. It is available in three colors—Black, Dark Red, and Light Green—through all three network carriers (LG Uplus, KT, and SKT). The smartphone also comes with two months of YouTube Premium subscription and a six-month subscription to Microsoft 365 Basic.

Galaxy A24 comes with MST for Samsung Pay

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A24 with the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. It has a microSD card for storage expansion and Samsung Pay with MST. This is the first time in a few years that Samsung has offered MST for Samsung Pay, which can mimic magnetic stripe credit/debit cards to make payments using any PoS (Point of Sale) payments machine. It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a USB Type-C port.

The phone has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 13MP selfie camera. Both front and rear cameras are limited to 1080p video recording at 30fps. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. It runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software out of the box and will get four Android OS updates.
