Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatch lineup later this year. The next-generation smartwatches, based on Wear OS 4, will be launched alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Ahead of the launch, the design of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has been revealed through 3D CAD renders.
Galaxy Watch 6 Classic renders reveal rotating bezel
Reliable leakster OnLeaks has published the first set of CAD-based 3D renders of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in collaboration with MySmartPrice. The images showcase the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in its black avatar, featuring a metal case and silicone wristband with a magnetic clasp. It appears to have a 1.47-inch circular Super AMOLED screen surrounded by a thick rotating bezel, similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has two buttons on the right side, while the left side of the case is flush. On the rear, there is a heart rate and PPG (Photoplethysmography) sensors. While its specifications weren't reported by the leakster, the Galaxy Watch 6 is expected to feature a barometer, body composition analysis, ECG, gyro, heart rate sensor, GPS, NFC, sleep tracking, and temperature sensor. Previous reports also indicate that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have a screen with 470×470 resolution.
We had exclusively revealed a few weeks ago that the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will come equipped with the Exynos W980 chipset made using an improved 5nm fabrication process. It might bring new features powered by Wear OS 4 and One UI 5 Watch, including improved health tracking and Material You design.
