Samsung announced that it would display its innovative C-Lab projects at Europe's largest tech event—VivaTech 2023—for the first time ever. The VivaTech event will take place from June 14 to 17, 2023, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition and conference center.
Relumino Glass, a visual aid solution for people with low vision, was selected as the C-Lab Inside Project in 2016 and has gone through continuous R&D by Samsung Research. The Relumino Glass, which was earlier displayed at MWC 2017 and CES 2018, will be introduced to the global market at VivaTech 2023. Samsung will demonstrate how Relumino Glass can provide enhanced technology for greater comfort and prevent fatigue for people with low vision.
Startups from the Samsung C-Lab Inside and C-Lab Outside initiatives will be showcased at the event
Startups that are enrolled in the C-Lab Outside program, which was launched in 2018, are provided with workspaces, expert monitoring, and guidance by Samsung employees, the digital marketing team, and others. The C-Lab Outside program is a startup acceleration program that is now receiving opportunities such as potential partnerships with Samsung and opportunities to participate in IT exhibitions such as CES, VivaTech, and KES (Korea Electronics Show).
At VivaTech 2023, Samsung will give the floor to not only projects from C-Lab Outside Seoul but also Daegu and Gwangju. This would give much-needed exposure to local startups and a chance to expand into the global market. The companies selected as a part of the C-Lab Outside program are NdotLight, Vsion, QuantumCat, and CLIKA.
Samsung will set up an exhibition space in the ‘K-Startup Hall'. Here, Samsung will display one project from C-Lab Inside, an internal venture program for employees, and four startups from C-Lab Outside.
