Samsung's June 2023 rollout is in full effect, but that doesn't mean every update the company is releasing contains the latest security patch. Some phones are slowly catching up but are receiving older patches. And that's the situation with the unlocked Galaxy A32 5G in the USA.
The carrier variant of the Galaxy A32 5G started receiving the May 2023 security patch in the USA in the 2nd week of June. Now, the factory-unlocked Galaxy A32 model is getting a similar treatment. The device, model number SM-A326U1, is getting the May 2023 security patch through a new update that carries firmware version A326U1UESADWE3.
The update doesn't bring any One UI features or things of that nature, but it does improve security, even though it's not the latest June release. Samsung's changelog revealed last month mentioned a total of 72 security patches, some of which concern Samsung hardware and software.
Galaxy A32 5G users in markets where the update is available, such as the USA, should be able to install the May 2023 patch by opening the Settings app on their phones, accessing “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.” And as usual, if you prefer manual updates through a Windows PC, we offer official firmware files on our website, which you can download for free.
