Samsung has been rolling out the August 2023 security update to several of its mid-range and high-end smartphones. The latest device to get the new security update is the Galaxy A22, and the phone is getting the new software in several countries in the Latin American region.
The new software update for the Galaxy A22 bears firmware version A225MUBS6CWH1. It is currently available in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay. More countries are expected to get the new software update within the next few days.
Galaxy A22 August 2023 security update: What's new?
Looking at the firmware version, it is clear that the new software just brings new security improvements and nothing else. So, don't expect to see any new features or even performance or efficiency improvements. The August 2023 security patch includes fixes for over 70 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of Samsung's software.
If you have a Galaxy A22 and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new software update. You can do that by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and Odin software.
