Even though Samsung's most recent announcements revolved around premium foldable phones and tablets, the company hasn't given up on low-cost devices. Samsung is working on a sequel to the Galaxy A04, unsurprisingly called the Galaxy A05, and we can now add one more detail to the growing list of leaked specifications for the upcoming budget phone.
The Galaxy A05 passed through the FCC not long ago. The phone's SM-A055F model number was reconfirmed, and the regulatory agency revealed the first battery-related details. It's nothing too exciting, as the Galaxy A05 seemingly borrows from its predecessor.

Galaxy A05 to have the same battery capacity as the 2022 model
The FCC documents (via SlashLeaks) reveal that the Galaxy A05 uses a battery manufactured by Scud (Fujian) Electronics. The unit can be identified by model number WT-S-N28.
More importantly, the Galaxy A05's battery has the same capacity as the A04 battery, i.e., 5,000mAh. Details about charging speeds have not been revealed, but if we were to guess, the Galaxy A05 battery likely tops out at 15W.
Samsung announced the Galaxy A04 in late August 2022 and released it in October. We're closing in on the end of the month, but the company has yet to reveal the Galaxy A05.
There's still plenty of time for an October release for the Galaxy A05, assuming that Samsung plans to leave a 12-month gap between the launch of the two phones. But that's the thing. Low-cost Galaxy phones rarely follow a strict yearly launch schedule, and only Samsung knows what it has in store for the upcoming Galaxy A05.
