Samsung has been swiftly rolling out the September 2023 security update over the past week or so. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 are the latest phones and the first foldable phones to get the September 2023 security update. The new update is currently available in Europe.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 4 get September 2023 security update in Europe
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes bearing firmware version F926BXXS5FWH9, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is getting the new update with firmware version F936BXXS4DWHA. The updates that these phones are getting just contain the September 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws, so don't expect to see new features or performance enhancements.
If you have a Galaxy Z Fold 3 or a Galaxy Z Fold 4 in Europe, you can check for the new software update right now. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware files for these phones from our firmware database and flash them manually.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 was launched with Android 11 onboard, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 debuted with Android 12 pre-installed. Both phones have received the Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 update a few days ago. The new software brought several multitasking improvements.
