Samsung's newest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, launched this year running Android 13 and One UI 5.1.1 out of the box. Naturally, the two handsets will be among the first Galaxy devices to receive the Android 14 and One UI 6.0 update. And, as the company has done in the past, it will give owners of its latest foldables the chance to beta test the next major OS upgrade.
The One UI 6.0 beta program was first launched for the Galaxy S23 series and is also available for a couple of mid-range Samsung phones. The Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and other flagship devices will also get the One UI 6.0 beta later this year, and we hear that for the Fold 5 and Flip 5, the beta program could go live as early as this week!
Now, we should note that there's always the possibility that there will be delays, as a couple of delays happened with the Galaxy S23 series' One UI 6 beta as well. We also don't know which markets will get the beta for the 2023 foldables. The Galaxy S23 beta is available in India, Korea, Germany, Poland, China, the US, and the UK, but the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 beta may or may not be available in all those countries.
We'll let you know once the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 One UI 6.0 beta program goes live, so stay tuned!
