Samsung has released the September 2023 security update to the Galaxy A14 5G in the US. The update is now available to the carrier-locked version of the affordable 5G smartphone. The new security update isn't available to the factory-unlocked models in the US and in global markets.
The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A14 5G comes bearing firmware version A146USQU4BWH4. The update comes with the September 20223 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in the previous software version. It might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. It isn't clear whether it brings some new features.
If you have a carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A14 5G in the US, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A14 5G earlier this year with Android 13 onboard. The affordable smartphone will get at least two major Android OS updates, starting with Android 14 sometime towards the end of this year.
