Samsung's One UI 6.0 beta programs is available for a number Galaxy phones right now. Galaxy S23 owners were the first to get access to the beta version of Android 14 and One UI 6.0, and as of today (September 27, 2023), Samsung has released five major One UI 6.0 beta updates for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra and a couple of small hotfix updates.
Samsung fans have been wondering when the beta program will end and Android 14 and One UI 6.0 will start rolling out publicly for Galaxy devices. As always, there's no way to reveal an exact date as the updates come when they're ready, but at least for Galaxy S23 owners, the wait for the final version of Android 14 and One UI 6.0 could be very close.
The biggest hint for that is in the changelog for the fifth Galaxy S23 One UI 6 beta update. All previous updates came with changelogs that listed bugs that were fixed and also listed issues that hadn't been resolved, but for the fifth beta firmware, the changelog doesn't mention any known issues, suggesting that Samsung has ironed out any major problems and only needs to do some minor bugfixing before it can roll out the final update.
There's also the fact that last year, the Galaxy S22 series received five major One UI 5 beta updates before the final version was released on October 24th, and if all goes well, Samsung may just be able to follow the same schedule for One UI 6.0.
Samsung might even roll out the stable One UI 6.0 update earlier than One UI 5.0, perhaps just a few days after Google's release of the stable Android 14 update for existing Pixel devices, which is expected to take place on October 4 after Google offically launches the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones.
But all this is speculation, so you may want to temper your expectations so you don't end up being disappointed. The end of the One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series certainly looks to be very close, but Samsung could take a few days or even weeks to wrap things up and commence the public rollout of the finished update.
