Samsung has expanded the rollout of the October 2023 security update to its mid-range smartphones, with the latest phone getting updated being the Galaxy A52s. Several high-end smartphones, including the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S23, have already started getting this update.
Galaxy A52s October 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest security update for the Galaxy A52s comes bearing firmware version A528BXXS5EWJ1, and it is available across Europe. The update is now available in Austria, Baltic Countries, Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Luxembourg, Nordin Countries, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, and Switzerland. This is just a security update, and it fixes several dozen vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.
If you are a Galaxy A52s user living in Europe, you should start checking for the update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, you can manually flash the update by downloading the latest firmware file from our firmware database and using the Odin tool on a computer running Windows OS.
When will Galaxy A52s get Android 14 (One UI 6) update?
Samsung launched the Galaxy A52s in mid-2021 with Android 11 onboard. Later that year, the phone received the Android 12-based One UI 4 update. Toward the end of last year, the mid-range phone received the Android 13-based One UI 5 update. Later this year, Samsung could release Android 14 update to the Galaxy A52s.
