OnePlus 12 will have an OLED screen with 2,600 nits brightness
Earlier today, it was revealed that Samsung is upping its game with the Galaxy S24 series by equipping all phones in the lineup with OLED screens that can reach as high as 2,500 nits of peak brightness. And that is a huge upgrade from the Galaxy S23, which has 1,750 nits peak brightness. However, OnePlus is planning to one-up that with its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12. According to a report originating from China, the OnePlus 12 will have a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, QHD+ resolution (3,168 x 1,440 pixels), and high-frequency PWM dimming at 2,160Hz.
Apparently, OnePlus will use an OLED panel from Chinese firm BOE. It will be an LTPO panel with a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz. This will fiercely compete with Samsung, which has historically used the world's best OLED panels in its Galaxy S series flagship smartphones. Apart from the display, the OnePlus 12 will also have specifications similar to the Galaxy S24 series.

It will reportedly have a 50MP primary rear camera (comparable to a 1-inch sensor in quality), a 48MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Apparently, the phone will have a 5,400mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.
