People’s expectations were based on the way Microsoft had brought 20 games from Bethesda to Xbox Game Pass just two days after acquiring the gaming company. “This acquisition is definitely long-term, so the fact that we’re not hitting day one with a bunch of games dropping into Game Pass is a little bit of a downer, but I’m very excited about the future. And I just want to be straight with people that that’s where we are” he added.
Earlier this month, Activision Blizzard announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that it doesn’t plan on bringing the new games from the company, including Modern Warfare III and Diablo IV to Xbox Game Pass this year. However, it didn’t mean that the brand wouldn’t make the older versions of Call Of Duty and Diablo available on Xbox Game Pass in the near future. So, people had some expectations. Not anymore though.
