Just two months ago, Samsung launched its fifth-generation clamshell-style foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Although it is available in several attractive colors, Samsung could be preparing to launch more color options for the phone. Apparently, the South Korean firm is launching the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition may bring a retro vibe
It is being reported that Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro Edition. MSPowerUser has published a few images of this upcoming foldable phone, and from the looks of it, it has a new color and a slightly different finish. According to the report, the phone will have a pastel blue color on the rear, while its side rails are made of aluminum and have a matte finish (similar to Galaxy Z Flip 4).
The rest of the phone looks similar to the regular Galaxy Z Flip 5. It appears to have a big 3.4-inch OLED cover screen and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It has a dual-camera setup, too, and a USB Type-C port on the bottom. The rest of the specifications, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 3,700mAh battery, could remain similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
It isn't clear whether this version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will launch in limited markets or will see a wider, global release. However, some colors of Samsung's foldable phones have remained exclusive to a few markets in the past. Samsung may launch the device with some new accessories, such as cases and covers.
