LG has launched two new monitors under the company’s SMART Monitor lineup — 32SR50F and 27SR50F — in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and South America. Both models feature the LG WebOS 23 platform, which is the brand’s latest operating system for smart TVs. That means these monitors offer a lot of functionalities and apps, allowing you to use them as standalone devices or TVs, just like Samsung’s M-series smart monitors.
Features
The LG 32SR50F and 27SR50F feature 31.5-inch and 27-inch display panels respectively. These screens feature IPS technology, a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution, and a 60Hz refresh rate. Both models also support HDR10. While the 32SR50F has an 8ms response time, the 27SR50F has a 14ms response time. According to the company, the larger model covers 99% sRGB color gamut, and the smaller one covers 72% NTSC color space.
Being equipped with LG WebOS 23, the two monitors support LG ThinQ, which allows these models to act as a hub for the company's smart home products, letting you control them from these monitors remotely. There’s also support for Amazon Alexa. For audio, you get two 5W speakers in stereo configuration. Connectivity options include 2x HDMI ports, 2x USB Type-A ports, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay 2. They also come with a remote control.
Pricing and availability
LG has priced the 32SR50F at $229.99 and the 27SR50F at $199.99 in the US. According to the company, the two monitors will go on sale in the US on November 5, 2023. However, LG hasn’t revealed availability details for other regions.
